As you are no doubt aware, modern engines produce more power, use less fuel and have lower emmisions than their predessors.
There have been many advances in engine management, parts design and materials to provide these gains and the nett result is that machining tolerances have reduced dramatically while the materials used are constantly being improved.
Valves and valve seats have had their share of advancement during these changes. Harder materials, multi angle valve seats and more valves in the engine have led us to purchase the best in valve seat machining equipment – the SERDI Millenium 3.0.
Using a patented tripple air float system the machine centres itself to the real axis of the valve stem to provide perfect concentricity between the valve.
The seats are cut and require no further finishing with lapping paste (which used to be used to correct error in the valve/seat grinding).
There is a wide range of inserts available to give the required angles on the valve seats & all 3 angles (where applicable) are cut at once.
Many of the worlds leading manufacturers and race teams rely on Serdi equipment. Serdi Website
